(Nassau, Bahamas) RF Bank & Trust is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Exuma Sailing Club, with funding that helped the club purchase a new Sunfish hull for its growing fleet.
Sailing is part of the fabric of The Bahamas and nowhere is that tradition kept more alive than in Exuma. Since its founding in 2013, the Exuma Sailing Club has grown from a small volunteer effort into one of the country’s most respected youth sailing programs, offering free training and competition opportunities to boys and girls regardless of financial means. The club teaches sailors of all ages, from first timers in the Optimist dinghy to teens racing Sunfish and ILCA boats, all the way up to adult crews competing in traditional Bahamian sloops. In February 2026, the club’s junior sailors won the National Junior Sailing Championship for the third year in a row, a testament to the program’s coaching and the dedication of its young athletes.
The new Sunfish gives emerging sailors another vessel to train and compete on for years to come, supporting a pipeline that has already produced national champions and sailors representing Team Bahamas internationally.
