GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands – RF Bank & Trust (Cayman) has teamed up with Pickleball Cayman to expand

youth access to one of the region’s fastest‑growing sports, marking a major milestone in the premier investment firm’s

yearlong community impact campaign.

As a major sponsor of Pickleball Cayman’s Youth Development Initiative, RF Bank & Trust committed USD $5,000 to:

  • Provide free entry for all youth players under 18;
  • Fund a youth clinic led by professional international pickleball players;
  • Support the development of technical skills, social networks, and healthy lifestyles through sport.

RF representatives touted the impact of the sponsorship, the latest of several youth-centred donations across the firm’s three operating

jurisdictions of The Bahamas, Barbados, and the Cayman Islands.

“The youth clinic was an incredible success,” said Richard Maparura, CEO of RF Bank & Trust (Cayman). “It was moving to witness

the talent and enthusiasm of these young players, and we’re overjoyed to have opened up this pivotal opportunity to more of Cayman’s youth.”

Speaking to the vision behind the sponsorship, Julian Phiri, Financial Advisor at RF Bank & Trust and member of the RF Donations Committee,

added: “We are passionate about empowering the next generation through inclusive athletic opportunities and community investment. This

initiative reflects our commitment to youth development and our belief in the power of sport to connect and inspire.”

The event, hosted by Pickleball Cayman, drew enthusiastic participation and showcased the growing popularity of pickleball as a vibrant, inclusive

sport in the region.

“The support from RF has allowed us to remove barriers and welcome more youth to this fast-growing sport,” said Dana Karani, lead coordinator

of Pickleball Cayman—the world’s largest pickleball club. “Their contribution is already making a visible impact.”

In 2025 alone, RF Bank & Trust has supported the Cayman Islands Cancer Society, Sustainable Cayman, YMCA Cayman, and Inclusion Cayman,

amongst other organisations, reaffirming its role as a trusted partner in advancing health, sustainability, and youth development initiatives across

the Cayman Islands.
