Board Member

Tim Rider is Executive Vice President, Corporate Development at Sterling Global Financial with more than 30 years in financial services and banking, including 20 years at RBC Royal Bank. From 2015 to 2018, he served as Senior Vice President for RBC Caribbean, overseeing Corporate, Commercial, Wealth Management, and Retail Banking across the region. Earlier roles included leadership of Commercial Mortgage, Leasing, Vendor Financing, Treasury Products, and Trade groups in Canada; Regional Vice President of Commercial Banking in Toronto—where he introduced industry specialization—VP of Business Financial Services, where he co-authored the commercial lending manual, and founder of RBC’s working capital asset‑based lending business. He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from York University and an MBA from Queen’s University. A former York University basketball team captain, he has been inducted into the York Sports Hall of Fame (2004).
